The Moon Lake Gardeners

A group of lot owners from Moon Lake attended a meeting for interested gardeners. The decision was made to call the group "The Moon Lake Gardeners". The is the second year that this group has gathered to plant our common areas with a wonderful show of flowers. Wow, what a difference! Can't wait to see what they have up their sleeve's next!

Looks like they will meet periodically now after three weeks of gathering once a week for their various planting projects. Anyone interested, contact one of the ladies or click the "Contact Us" link to the left and fill in your info.

The 2005 annual meeting proved to be a great place to pass the planting hat around. The girls took in $79.00 and a donation of perennials from a lot owner and have exhausted all of those funds with plantings at the clubhouse, pool and the entrance signs.

Thanks to all who donated.

Anyone wanting to donate your time or flowers please stop by one of the meetings. They are in need of simple planting tools, top soil, shrubs, flowers, materials for flower boxes and ideas.

Goals and Expectations:

1. Plant flowers and create planters in association areas including the Pool, Clubhouse and the Moon lake Signs.

2. Learn and share information about wild flowers and plants.

3. Do plant exchanges.

4. Maintain planted areas.

5. Consider ways to raise funds for plants and garden supplies.
