BUILDING & ZONING PERMIT REQUIREMENTS

FOR MOON LAKE PROPERTY OWNERS

Oscoda County and Greenwood Township require permits for new construction, additions or installation of mobile homes.  To obtain these permits the following steps are required:

1.                  Properly fill out a Moon Lake Approval form for the application

of township and county permits.  Submit it to the Moon Lake     

Building Committee for approval.  Two (2) copies are required.

2.                  For an application of a new home or mobile home, obtain a

health department permit showing the location of the well          

and septic tank.

3.                  Obtain a Greenwood Township zoning permit.  Contact the

Moon Lake Building Committee for directions.

4.                  Apply to the Oscoda County Building Inspector in Mio for

the county building permit.
